Friday Night Photos: Cafe Trio in Salt Lake City

Rosemary Flatbread at Cafe TrioSometimes when I love a certain dish at a restaurant I'll order it over and over for years, until in my mind, that particular dish is something I *must* order there. At Cafe Trio (just ten blocks from my house in downtown Salt Lake) Rosemary Flatbread is the appetizer that defines the restaurant for me. Who wouldn't love to start a meal with perfect crispy flatbread served with goat cheese, roasted peppers, caramelized onions, and tomatoes?

When I ate at Cafe Trio recently with my friends Laura, Trudy, and Georgette, two of us had the Caesar Salad, but this Caesar salad in the photo is the one I had (minus croutons) a few days later when I couldn't get Cafe Trio out of my mind, and went back for lunch. I skipped the croutons so I could order the Rosemary Flatbread of course!

The night we went for dinner, Trudy ordered the special pizza of the day, which had eggplant and lots of other good-tasting things that I can't remember. Pizzas at Cafe Trio are always a good choice.

The photo is a little fuzzy, but Georgette had good things to say about this salad with turkey, cranberries, apples, and walnuts.

And if you're really lucky when you visit Cafe Trio, you'll have some Rosemary Flatbread left and you can bring it home to have for breakfast the next day!

That first picture of the Rosemary flatbread looks wonderful, then followed with that fresh salad! Yum. I've been enjoying Rosemary Sour Dough bread from Whole Foods this week. Man is it good.

My favorite childhood restaurant used to do a rosemary, garlic and feta flat bread - brings back good memories. Must make it soon.

Oh, I just came across your blog looking for a socca recipe. I was so tickled to see this post about Trio's! I was just there a few months ago when some college friends and I reunited after 10 years!

Good things all around.
