Friday Night Photos: Autumn Leaves in New England

Autumn leaves in New EnglandI still have quite a few photos to share from my trip to BlogHer Boston, and these photos with the spectacular leaves were mostly taken near Lydia's house in Rhode Island, although I think a couple may have been in Massachusetts. For years I've been hearing how the leaves in New England were so brightly colored in the fall, and now I know those stories weren't exaggerating. Enjoy!

Our fall here in MA NEVER ceases to be fantastic. Those sugar maples are especially amazing. I get to drive to work throughout the fall seeing these colors developing and then some weekend we get a huge windy storm and they are all gone, just like that.

Aaaaahhhhh, I'd forgotten just how perfect the foliage colors were that weekend -- and with the blue sky, everything just glowed. Your photos capture the quintessential New England autumn.

I wonder if it is only due to the climate, must be that they have colourful types of trees as well, there is a place here in Pistoia that has really colourful autumn trees as well! Lovely photos!

DO you have any idea how hard it is to time a trip to New England to see dazzling foliage? Wow! You got there just at the right time. Those trees are stunning.
