Kraft recently introduced a line of South Beach Diet frozen foods. Most of them didn't tempt me, but the pizza was something that caught my eye. If you read my blog, you can tell that I'm not really the frozen pizza type. I really love to cook, and am much more inclined to make my own food and freeze it than to buy something frozen at the store. Having said that, I do get a real craving for pizza once in a while. Since I've been doing the South Beach Diet way of eating, I had only eaten pizza once in about a year until I discovered these frozen pizzas. The South Beach frozen pizzas are really pretty good. It's the crust! I had tried two other kinds of low carb pizza and the crust tasted like cardboard. The South Beach pizza has whole wheat crust which cooks up really crispy. The pizza is small, but it's enough to scratch that pizza itch when you get one. With a small salad, this makes a great South Beach approved meal when you don't really have time to cook something. Kraft South Beach Pizza comes in four flavors:
- Pepperoni Pizza
- Four Cheese Pizza
- Grilled Chicken and Vegetable Pizza
- Deluxe Pizza
All the pizzas have about 20 net carbs (34 carbs minus 14 grams of fiber). For those who care about fat, they have 8-10 grams of fat.
